Mitteleuropean Race 2025: Be Traced on Board to Track the Action

Brescia, May 27, 2025 – May is shaping up to be all about classic car regularity rallies. With the legendary 1000 Miglia just around the corner and our fresh new partnership with Le Flair, Be Traced is diving into another iconic event: starting Thursday, May 29 through the 31st, we’ll be teaming up with the Mitteleuropean Race for the superclassic regularity race “La Salita della Trieste-Opicina”.

Now in its ninth edition, the Mitteleuropean Race – La Salita della Trieste-Opicina is widely regarded as one of the toughest and most prestigious regularity rallies in Europe. It’s a true must for drivers who live for split-second precision and love the thrill of a scenic, cross-border challenge between Italy and Slovenia.

This year’s course covers 600 km and includes 100 timed trials and 7 average speed stages — a serious test of skill, focus, and nerves of steel. Drivers will need the perfect mix of driving finesse and cool-headed consistency to grab a top spot.

Big news for 2025: modern cars are now joining the game with the new “Modern Cars Grand Events Championship” category — broadening the scope of the event without losing any of its competitive edge.

Once again, the beating heart of the rally will be Piazza Unità d’Italia, right by the sea in Trieste, hosting both the starts and finishes. At the same time — for the fifth year in a row — the city will also welcome the “Città di Trieste” Concours d’Elegance, spotlighting vintage beauties built between 1910 and 1979, backed by ACI Storico, the Automobile Club of Trieste, and the Historic Vehicle Enthusiasts Association.

The schedule kicks off Thursday with scrutineering and admin checks, while the race officially gets underway Friday morning. The first leg departs from Piazza Unità d’Italia heading toward Castello di Buttrio (Udine province), before circling back to Trieste. Saturday’s second leg takes crews through Gorizia, Nova Gorica (2025 European Capital of Culture), and over the border to Kanal (Canale d’Isonzo) in Slovenia, before returning to Trieste for the Gala Dinner and award ceremony. It’ll be a thrilling day too — 6 out of the 7 average speed stages are set for Saturday!
