Tracking, time acquisition and LIVE streaming: Be Traced technologies at the service of 1000 Miglia


Brescia, June 10th 2022 - More than 400 historic cars, produced between 1927 and 1957, will leave Brescia on Wednesday 15th June, kicking off the edition number 40 of the historical Reenactment of the race, 95 years after its first edition in 1927. At the same time, on the same race track, more than 100 modern Ferrari registered to Ferrari Tribute 1000 Miglia, the electric cars taking part in the third edition of the 1000 Miglia Green and the group of the prestigious Supercars of 1000 Miglia Experience.


More than 600 GPS devices will therefore be installed on the vehicles during the technical and sporting checks starting from Monday 13th June.



Tracking

The technological solution provided by Be Traced, made up of tracking devices and tracking platform, allows the Race Direction to better coordinate all the subjects involved, to simultaneously follow the cars, the staff and the service vehicles in real time this year too, during the 4-days competition and along a course of 1,800 kilometers. The advantage? A quick and effective assistance during the race. Furthermore the devices, working autonomously thanks to an integrated battery, are equipped with an SOS button that crews can press in case of unforeseen events, sending a notification to the platform in real time.


Time acquisition

The time acquisition function will allow you to extrapolate clear information about the routes and in certain points of the track, in particular in the sections of Media Trials: the acquisition of such data will be made available to Federazione Italiana Cronometristi which will be able to attribute any advances or delays and determine rankings.


The program

On the first day of the competition, Wednesday 15th June, the convoy will depart from Brescia towards Lake Garda, reaching Salò, Desenzano and Sirmione, it will parade in Mantua and Ferrara and then arrive in Cervia-Milano Marittima.

The following day the start of stage 2 towards Forlì, with the passage from San Marino, then Norcia and the parade along via Veneto in Rome.

Friday is the longest day, from Rome the crews will travel up along the peninsula, crossing the beautiful scenery of Tuscany, passing through Ronciglione and Siena and reaching Parma in the evening.

Saturday 18th June, the fourth and final stage will see the competitors engaged in a series of trials in the Varano de’ Melegari circuit, then they will pass through Salsomaggiore Terme, Stradella, Pavia and reach the Monza racetrack where they will face other track tests.

Before arriving at the finish line in Brescia, in honor of the twinning that will see the two cities united in the Italian Capital of Culture 2023 project, the convoy will parade in Bergamo.
