A 520-kilometer route awaits the 120 registered crews
Brescia, January 17, 2024 - The appointment is, as always, at Madonna di Campiglio. Tomorrow, Thursday, Jan. 18, the 2024 edition of the magical Winter Marathon, an unmissable event for fans, will start.
120 cars entered to this edition, with a new route passing through well 15 dolomite passes.
It will all begin on Thursday, January 18, with accreditation and scrutineering of the cars. At 7 p.m. the race will get into full swing with the official start of the first stage. The start is scheduled in Piazza Righi in Madonna di Campiglio, and the first evening stage will lead the crews to Ponte di Legno and the Tonale Pass before returning to Madonna di Campiglio. On Friday, 19 at 10:30 a.m., the second stage, the longest and most complex, will start towards Bolzano, the Sella and Gardena Passes to Corvara, from which crews will then set off again tackling the Campolongo and Pordoi Passes and, after dinner in Bolzano, will tackle the Palade Pass until passing through the resorts of Dimaro and Folgarida, before returning to Madonna di Campiglio.
On Saturday, Jan. 20, as scheduled, the traditional trophies will take place on Madonna di Campiglio's frozen lake, and in the evening the awards ceremony and goodbye to the next edition.
Numerous challenges await participants again this year: 16 hours of driving during which they will be confronted with 65 time trials and 9 proofs of average in which crews will have to show all their skills in order to excel.
For the fifth consecutive year, Be Traced will provide organizers with the telematics platform For real-time tracking and its GPS devices, which will be installed on each car of the crews and staff. This technology will allow 360-degree monitoring of the entire event, check the progress of the cars, follow the passages along the sections of the media trials and respond promptly to any requests for assistance from the crews, as well as display the passage times in the media trials, supported as always by the Italian Timekeepers Federation.
From the public platform, it will be possible to follow second by second the positioning of crews on the map simply by accessing the link: https://live.betraced.it/
