Argo Racing is the new Race Partners of the Winter Marathon, which will be held in Madonna di Campiglio from January 23 to 26, 2020.
It is the first winter regularity event for historic cars, which traditionally reopens the new season in Italy after the Christmas break. The fascinating Winter Marathon 2020 will host historic cars built before 1968, as well as a selection of cars of special historical and collector interest produced up to 1976. Now in its 32nd edition, this year's competition is full of new features both in terms of the track and important technological solutions, thanks to the contribution of Argo Racing.
The new route will put competitors and cars to the test: 450 kilometers with 13 dolomite passes and beyond 70 proofs to be tackled in 2 stages, which are expected to be snowy. For this reason, too, safety will play a key role. The innovative technological platform and sophisticated locators specially designed for historic cars are the trump card to further improve the efficiency of logistics management and increase the safety of the teams, staff and public."
Crews: tracking and assistance
During the three days of the race, all crews - Will mount the Argo Racing tracker with every-second tracking and SOS function on the device for sending distress and assistance requests. The systems will be self-powered, so there will be no direct connection to the car's electrical system, but a long-lasting autonomous battery.
Organization: the platform and the App
The race direction will have a virtual control platform which will allow to assist in real time all crews, the entry and exit from the trials, points of interest and speed, also checking the position of the race officials, also equipped with Argo Racing locators.
Any unforeseen contingencies on the race will be easier to handle: it will be possible to handle any distress calls since, in the event of an emergency, drivers have the ability to send an alert that instantly identifies their location and allows race management to alert help and warn other crews of a problem/obstacle on the course in a timely manner.

This year's Winter Marathon will be even more engaging for spectators and fans, who demand adrenaline and divertimento this winter classic. The 2020 WINTER MARATHON Program
In the wake of the success of the very last editions, this 32nd edition of the 2020 Winter Marathon reintroduces a two-stage race and inaugurates a new route: the first, unprecedented stage on Thursdayฬ 23 at night along the Val di Sole with a stop on the Tonale Pass, and the second on Fridayฬ 24 through the most famous roads and passes of Trentino-Alto Adige with the impressive dinner stop on the Gardena Pass.
The route is therefore confirmed to be renewed as well as the locations that will host the competitors during the rest stops. There will be 450 total kilometers that the historic cars will have to cover, tackling as many as 13 of the dreaded but spectacular passes of Trentino-Alto Adige. Sixty-five, on the other hand, will be the time trials they will have to grapple with, in addition to the now unfailing media trials.
