Mantua, September 17, 2019 - Argo Racing technology has been chosen by the organizers of the Gran Premio Tazio Nuvolari for the logistics and security management of the 29th edition of the Gran Premio Nuvolari. The use of Argo Racing, with its web platform, apps and trackers, makes an important contribution technological and innovative At the historic rally.
Locators
As many as 300 crews will mount the Argo Racing tracker during the three-day race, including 95 pre-war cars. Argo Racing can be used with or without connection to the car, depending on the team's choice, and has a long-lasting autonomous battery.
The Platform and App
Thanks to this technology, the race management displays in real time the location of each crew, the location of all race officials, distress calls, entry and exit from practice, points of interest and speed. But that's not all: Argo Racing also improves the security, as, in the event of an emergency, riders can send an alert that instantly identifies their location and allows race management to alert help and promptly warn other crews of a problem/obstacle on the course.
The public platform
The public can also benefit from Argo Racing technology: they will be able to follow the race along all 1025 km of the route on the public platform with web access. The historic rally, which runs from Mantua along scenic roads and routes through five regions, becomes an even more engaging event for spectators, who on smartphones and tablets will be able to follow the rally second by second, displaying the position of each crew in real time.
Race Program
The appointment for technical and sports scrutineering on the historic cars built from 1919 to 1972 is for Thursday, Sept. 19 from 2 to 6 p.m. and Friday, Sept. 20 from 8 a.m. The start of the race will be Friday at 11 a.m. from Piazza Sordello, in the heart of Mantua, where the historic cars can be admired.
"It is a source of pride for us to bring Argo Racing to support such a prestigious event as GP Nuvolari, to offer a new way to manage and follow the race" says Luca Zigliani, CTO of Argo Racing.
"We wanted to kick this edition of the Gran Premio Nuvolari into high gear, ensuring maximum safety for the drivers and further improving coordination. We chose the Argo Racing digital platform, because it is capable of managing all aspects of the event in a unified and innovative way, keeping under control at all times the entire unfolding" said Luca Bergamaschi, organizer of the Tazio Nuvolari Grand Prix.
