Brescia, June 19, 2021 - With an 1800-kilometer route and passing through more than 200 municipalities in Italy, the 2021 edition of the Freccia Rossa came to an end. Taking the victory was crew number 43 composed of Andrea Vesco and Fabio Salvinelli on board a 1929 Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 Super Sport, behind them Andrea Luigi Belometti and Gianluca Bergomi with number 41 and on the third step of the podium Gianmario Fontanella and Anna Maria Covelli competing with number 24. The route challenged the 375 crews who competed on the countless stages, at the end of the race there were 341 cars that reached the finish line.
Consultation of the telematics platform by Race Direction made it possible to monitor various aspects of the event, both with regard to safety, through the management of SOS requests from crews in trouble along the course and coordination with the assistance cars to allow immediate intervention, and with regard to the technical aspects of the race, through the acquisition of the passage times of each individual car on the readings in the media test sections, in support of the Italian Federation of Timekeepers.
The warmth and participation of the public was felt, both along the course, as a strong signal for a restart, and virtually, through thousands of accesses to the public link of the telematics platform provided by Argo Racing that allowed the position and performance of all crews to be followed in real time.
