After the success of last year, the organization will once again rely on Be Traced for real-time monitoring of the teams.

Brescia, October 11, 2023 - The Targa Florio Classica is ready to crown another chapter of epic races from October 12 to October 15, 2023, as part of the Italian Grand Events Championship. The event, organized by the Automobile Club of Palermo in collaboration with Aci Italia, Aci Storico, and Aci Sport, is the final event in a series of competitions that includes the Coppa delle Alpi, the Coppa Milano Sanremo, the Coppa d’Oro delle Dolomiti, the Gran Premio Nuvolari, and the Circuito Stradale del Mugello.

Once again this year, the Targa Florio Classica sees exceptional participation with over 100 historic cars divided into four categories:

  • Classica - cars produced up to 1977
  • Legend - cars produced from 1978 to 1990
  • Gran Turismo - GT cars produced from 1991
  • Ferrari Tribute - reserved for owners of Ferrari cars produced from 1991.

Participants will have the opportunity to explore the beauty of Sicily through a route characterized by medium trials and breathtaking landscapes.

The first day, tomorrow, Thursday, October 12, will be dedicated to technical and sports checks. On October 13, the first stage will begin: the teams will face the "Tour delle Saline" starting from Palermo, passing through exclusive locations like Campobello di Mazara, Partinico, Castellammare del Golfo, and finally returning to Palermo.

On October 14, in the second stage, competitors will tackle the famous "Circuito delle Madonie," a fantastic circuit winding through the Sicilian hills. The finish line is in Palermo. On the last day, Sunday, October 15, the teams will be awarded.

Also in this edition, a crucial element joins the Targa Florio Classica: Be Traced technology.

During the checks, our devices will be installed on each vehicle, and a monitoring platform will manage the entire event.

The technological solution provided by Be Traced will allow the Race Direction to coordinate all parties involved, ensuring a rapid and efficient response. Real-time monitoring of the position and direction of the participants, staff, and service vehicles will guarantee efficient event management. Additionally, thanks to Be Traced the times from the special stages will be extracted, and Ficr, a partner of Be Traced, will compile the final rankings.
