Brescia, January 12, 2021 - The appointment is in Madonna di Campiglio from Thursday, Jan. 14 to Sunday, Jan. 17, and it will be one of the longest editions ever: more than 500 km of competition, 11 Dolomite Passes, 65 time trials and 6 average trials, all divided into 2 stages.
Race Program
After the accreditation of crews and the technical and sporting scrutineering that will take place during the day on Thursday, in the evening the start of the first night stage from Piazzale Righi in Madonna di Campiglio to Passo del Tonale.
The route planned for Friday's second stage will then put the competitors to the test as they will have to tackle some of the beautiful Alpine passes of Trentino Alto Adige.
At the conclusion of the two days of competition, the customary gathering of the cars on the frozen lake in Madonna di Campiglio will take place on Saturday 16 at 12:30 pm.
Crews and staff: tracking and support
The 90 participating crews will be supported during the two-day race by Argo Racing's innovative technology. Devices installed on the cars will update their position by the second, enabling real-time monitoring of all competitors and immediate intervention by staff in case of unforeseen events and requests for technical or medical assistance.
In fact, in addition to the crews, rescue teams will also be equipped with GPS trackers in order to ensure greater safety and better management of the event.
The telematics platform: real-time tracking, live broadcast and time capture
The map view of the routes and location of individual cars will allow Race Management to monitor all aspects of the event and capture the times achieved by drivers during media practice. Access to the platform will also be available to fans who can follow the event via public link access directly from their smartphones to savor every moment of the race.
